It’s back! LOFT KIDS FEST returns to The Loft Cinema this summer for 9 days of free in-person entertainment and excitement, starting with a Looney Tunes Outdoor Movie Party at Himmel Park on Friday, June 23, followed by indoor screenings at The Loft Cinema every Saturday and Sunday morning, Saturday, June 24 – Sunday, July 16!
Each day of LOFT KIDS FEST, we’re bringing the supersized fun with big screen presentations of some of the best family-friendly films of all-time, along with games, activities, giveaways, prize raffles, tons of popcorn and more! Each screening also includes a brand-new animated short film from around the world! Daily pre-show activities will be hosted by the staff of Mildred & Dildred Toy Store, and best of all, everything is FREE!
We’re super excited to welcome Tucson’s kid community back to The Loft Cinema for all the movies, magic and fun of LOFT KIDS FEST 2023!

To celebrate the kick-off of this year’s Loft Kids Fest, we’re taking over Himmel Park with free festivities, games and an outdoor screening of our zany Kids Fest tradition, Looney Tunes! The fun starts at 6:00pm, and the film starts at 8:00pm. Get ready for a Looney good time under the stars with Bugs Bunny and the whole Looney Tunes gang! This event will be held on the North side of Himmel Park, 1000 N. Tucson Boulevard.
Our looney tuney Loft Kids Fest tradition continues! Relive the Saturday mornings of yesteryear with your favorite Warner Brothers characters in a zany collection of vintage Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies cartoons on the big screen! See Bugs, Daffy, Roadrunner, Porky, Elmer, Tweety and the whole Looney Tunes gang up to their old “waskaly” tricks. Filled with fun, laughs and more wacky antics than you can shake a carrot at, this is a hilarious movie treat you just can’t beat. Beep, Beep! Woody (Tom Hanks), a good-hearted cowboy doll who belongs to a young boy named Andy, sees his position as Andy’s favorite toy jeopardized when his parents buy him a Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) action figure. This charmingly off-kilter, wildly fun film version of the classic Roald Dahl book tells the story of Matilda Wormwood (Mara Wilson), a gifted girl forced to put up with a crude, distant father (Danny DeVito) and mother (Rhea Perlman). Worse, Agatha Trunchbull, the evil principal at Matilda’s school, is a terrifyingly strict bully. However, when Matilda realizes she has the power of telekinesis, she begins to defend her friends from Trunchbull’s wrath and fight back against her unkind parents.
