Donald Trump’s Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, admitted that Republicans’ “Big Beautiful” tax scam creates a “backdoor for privatizing Social Security.” Americans overwhelmingly oppose efforts to privatize Social Security, which would end the program as a guaranteed benefit and allow Wall Street to gamble with Americans’ retirement. 

Joe Lombardo said Nevadans should be “excited” about Trump’s spending bill that, in addition to moving towards privatizing Social Security, rips health care away from more than 100,000 Nevadans, slashes SNAP benefits for the 500,000 Nevadans that rely on it, and eliminates job-creating clean energy tax credits, all in order to pay for the largest tax break for billionaires in history.
