From Burlesque to Broadway: with Bill Sano

A brief history of how American musical theatre was developed. From Viennese operetta thru Gilbert and Sullivan, to Burlesque and vaudeville, Zigfeld Follies up to 20th century American musical theatre. An in-depth look at how 42nd Street got this way!  Four two-hour lectures by music historian Bill Sano.

Join us for a 60-minute yoga flow! Instructor Tammy Syrigos Irrera will lead us through yoga poses over Zoom. Register with a valid email to receive the link to join the class. You will receive an email with login information a half hour before the class begins.

If you are a fan of classic literature and love a pint o' Guinness while you're reading, join us for this conversation with author & professor at Trinity College Christopher Morash as he discusses his book "Dublin: A Writer's City" which unfolds a book-lover's map of this unique city, inviting us to experience what it means to live in a great city of literature.  Presented in conjunction with the Ashland Public Library.  Register Here

Our stuffies are looking for a new home! We have cat and dog stuffies up for adoption. You'll pick a either a cat or dog then name them and make them a collar out of beads and a pipe cleaner!  Registration required as stuffies are limited.  A child can only be registered for 1 session.

Explore The Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park

Not only that, there are more coming!  Join us on April 19th for next the Virtual Lunchtime Lecture: Explore The Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park.  

Along the Blackstone River, a number of enterprising colonists and their descendants started businesses that would change the course of history. Discover how large corporations grew out of small mill villages in the 19th century. While focusing on a few case studies in labor history, examine the beginnings of industry in the United States. Learn about this National Historical Park with Park Ranger Allison Horrocks.  Register here.

There will be a lunchtime lecture featuring a new national park or historic site every Wednesday from 4/19 through 5/17.  See the Lynnfield Library Calendar for more details.  This program is in cooperation with the Tewksbury Public Library.

Join us for an afternoon of puzzles, games, and gadgets from our Library of Things. We will display all of our Things and give you a chance to try them before you borrow them. Try out a board game, then take it home to play with your family and friends! Play around with a selfie stick, then take it with you on your next vacation!  Craft tools!  Slide viewer!  Puzzles galore!!!  All items in our Library of Things are free to borrow--come take a look at what we have!

We have Things in our Library for all ages!  No registration required.
