UPLIFTING MY PEOPLE
02.19.2025
Believe it or not this is my first newsletter of the year.
January started off as one of the most depressingly bleak months in a long time for many of us. From the terrible fires in Altadena to the Palisades and throughout Los Angeles. Many of my friends and acquaintances lost everything and it was emotionally overwhelming and draining to say the least.
On top of all that we now have to deal with our country becoming unrecognizable as we head down the terrible path of an evil, racist, and fascist regime that aims at tearing us apart and destroying the very fabric of our humanity and American identity.
I say all this because I’ve always felt that as artists we have very powerful voices, but collectively it’s
even stronger. We have the unique ability to speak on any number of issues. From the ugly injustices happening in the world to the beautiful colors of love and life and everything in between.
So today I’m choosing to uplift my people!
In every newsletter moving forward you will not only hear about my own art and current projects but also about those of fellow artists that I respect and want you to know about and follow.
To this end, I have recently dusted off our Crewest Blog and I am once again publishing stories, events, products and art from the community of artists which we’ve always supported and continue to champion.
I ask you to join me this year in uplifting each other and help create the world we want to live in. Let’s share in the beauty and color of life even in the face of darkness.
And maybe even buy a piece (or two) on the journey, cause you know I gotta survive some how! ???
I appreciate your support.
