Winter festivities are here!
It's officially the holiday season, and we're celebrating with cozy reads and jolly good programming, including our Winter Break activities for kids, tweens, and teens. There will be movies, games, treats, and more! Not to mention a Winter Party for our K-5 friends!
What's New
Shakespearean Opera
On Friday, December 15, join the Palm Beach Opera as they discuss how some of opera's most distinguished composers adapted Shakespeare's plays. They will dive into the works of Gioachino Rossini, Giuseppe Verdi, Benjamin Britten, and other great composers. No registration required.
Tarot 101 for the Solstice
On Saturday, December 16, join this special workshop instructed by local Tarot Grandmaster Christiana Gaudet, as she covers the basics of tarot while focusing on how to use them during the winter solstice. Individual tarot card decks will be available to practice with while supplies last. No registration required.
Speed Gingerbread Builders
On Saturday, December 16, we invite teens and tweens to unleash their inner builder (and sweet tooth)! Participants will team up with others to build and decorate a gingerbread house in record time. Houses will be judged by Ms. Kaylin who will announce the winner! It's going to be lots of fun and quite delicious.
Holiday Traditions: Jane Austen Edition
On Saturday, December 16, join the Palm Beaches chapter of the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA) to discuss all things Jane Austen and Regency England. Enjoy this lecture and how it relates to the history and culture of Jane Austen’s era during the holiday season.
