Earlier on April 10th, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene voted again to gut Medicaid, which provides health care for over two million Georgia kids and families.
Greene voted on April 10th, to advance the Republican budget, which is projected to slash Medicaid by $1.87 billion for roughly 149,700 Georgians in her district who rely on Medicaid for life-saving health care and medicine.
“This isn’t some abstract concept: Marjorie Taylor Greene’s vote today will have hugely negative effects on the health of her own constituents,” said DPG spox. “In Georgia, 67% of Medicaid recipients are children, 50% of all childbirths are covered by Medicaid, and 75% of seniors living in nursing homes rely on Medicaid; this vote makes every single one of those Georgians less safe and less healthy.”
