Many fans discovered the Nashville-based Mascitti during her appearance on the 2020 season of American Idol, but she has been performing and writing songs since the age of seven. By the time she was a teen, she was performing six shows a week in Branson, MO, with gospel singer Gary McSpadden, one of the original Oak Ridge Boys.
After earning a nursing degree, she moved from her hometown of Louisville, OH, to Nashville, where she has co-written and/or performed with artists including Pam Tillis, Matraca Berg, Suzy Roggus, and Delbert McClinton.
Mascitti performed with Brad Paisley and Shania Twain in a concert honoring her fellow healthcare workers during the pandemic and has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry stage many times. This year, she opened several shows for Lonestar, including their first headline performance at the Ryman Auditorium.
Mascitti’s most recent album, God Made a Woman, was named to the New York Times and Saving Country Music’s “Best of 2020” lists. It reached #4 on iTunes for country album sales. Her current project, produced by Dean Sams of Lonestar, is scheduled for release this summer.
Chaired by Dan Kane, the Rhythms concert series provides an intimate and accessible atmosphere for enjoying top-notch entertainment.
