Meals on Wheels South Florida Celebrates 37th Annual Thanksgiving Project: Delivering Warmth and Holiday Cheer to Seniors This Thanksgiving

Clubs and Organizations

November 13, 2025

This Thanksgiving, Meals on Wheels South Florida (MOWSOFLO) volunteers aren't just delivering meals; they're delivering a critical connection. Because many of Broward County's most vulnerable seniors are homebound and alone, MOWSOFLO is intensifying its outreach to ensure they receive a hot meal and a vital safety check this holiday.

With profound gratitude to community partners such as New York Life, Cigna Healthcare, Greentree Financial, The Arrendale Family, The American Sewing Guild, The Coral Springs Quilt Guild, and The Southern Stars Quilt Guild, MOWSOFLO will host a substantial delivery effort on Thanksgiving Day.

Who: MOWSOFLO staff and volunteers, delivering a hot turkey meal, homemade placemats, and a friendly holiday hello.

What: Three hundred meals will be delivered to MOWSOFLO’s senior clients who are homebound and without family to visit them for Thanksgiving. The meal box includes a complete, traditional Thanksgiving dinner: roasted turkey, savory stuffing, seasonal vegetables, creamy mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls, and sweet potato pie.

When:                               Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.

Where:                              Meals on Wheels South Florida’s Main Office
4355 West Sunrise Boulevard | Plantation, FL 33313
