From: City of MiamiMiami-Dade County celebrates National Consumer Protection Week March 6-11
The Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER), Consumer Protection Division, will celebrate National Consumer Protection Week from March 6 to 11, with a series of free community events at various Miami-Dade Public Libraries. Residents are encouraged to participate and learn about consumer rights and the many related services available to them.
In addition to getting an overview of the many services offered by the Consumer Protection Division, residents will be able to discuss their own consumer concerns and submit complaints to staff for further investigation. Staff from the Community Action and Human Services Department, Homeowner and Small Business Permitting Assistance Program, Code Compliance Division and Contractor Enforcement Section will also be present to provide information about their services, answer questions and accept complaints. The schedule for Consumer Protection week are as follows:
