As respiratory illnesses circulate during the busy holiday season, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava is reminding residents to stay healthy and safe as we begin a new year. “We can continue celebrating safely with our loved ones, and start 2023 healthy, by following the key steps we know work to protect ourselves and others: Get vaccinated. Wash your hands frequently. Get tested, and stay home if you’re sick.”

The CDC recommends wearing a mask to prevent the spread of COVID, flu, and RSV.

Miami-Dade County in partnership with Nomi Health continues to operate free testing and vaccination at sites countywide. Find a location near you and learn more about hours over New Years weekend: Miamidade.gov/vaccine

To remind residents that we can get “Back Together, Safer than Ever,” Miami-Dade County has created a holiday-focused social media campaign with graphics available in English, Spanish and Creole. Download materials for use here
