Miami-Dade Tax Collector launches Kids Tag Art Program to fundraise for art education

MIAMI-DADE ( August 11, 2023 )– Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector has launched the Kids Tag Art Program, an educational fundraising project that benefits Miami-Dade County Public Schools elementary visual arts programs. The program gives fifth grade students an opportunity to create a unique design that can be made into a front-end license plate, patterned after Florida's hundreds of specialty license plates. These license plates will be made available for purchase by family members, friends, and the community. All proceeds will be distributed to participating elementary school teachers for their classroom art supplies.

“The amazing Kids Tag Art program fosters creativity in our youth today while funding the arts for the youth of tomorrow,” Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. “I look forward to seeing these special tags on the road very soon.”

Sponsorship is key to the success of the Kids Tag Art Program as it can help bring in the much-needed dollars to support our schools. With the help of community partners, we can create a major impact on the education of our youth.  Sponsors play a visionary and active role in fostering creativity in the classroom, which can contribute to the creative and innovative thinkers of tomorrow.
