Last year as a library system we read for 1.7 million minutes. This year, we're aiming for 2 million minutes. Be sure to log your reading!

Reading doesn't have to be a 5,000-page novel. Reading is a news article, a short story, a magazine, a cookbook, a comic book, a graphic novel, a picture book, a poem--the list goes on!

Bottom line, if you read it, log it!

Just remember to have FUN!

Join us at Washington Memorial Library this summer for the Legal Literacy Series. We will be hosting the Georgia Legal Services Program and Middle Georgia Justice for a three-part series on legal literacy.

On June 5th at 2 PM Elizabeth Waller of the Georgia Legal Services Program and Bill Adams of Middle Georgia Justice will be discussing how to recognize when you have a legal problem and what community partners and nonprofits can help to solve that problem using the law.

On June 27th at 2 PM, Elizabeth Waller will be discussing estate planning and the different ways to plan wills, powers of attorney, and heirs property.
