DJ Williams and Band
DJ Williams, the electric guitarist, songwriter, and producer known for his explosive live performances and groundbreaking musical style, announces his eagerly awaited 26-night summer tour. This announcement comes on the heels of a successful 21-date spring tour, as Williams takes the stage in celebration of his latest album, By Way of RVA, an evocative tribute to Richmond, VA, where he refined his eclectic musical prowess.
Pleasure People
At times moody and emotional, at times downright eerie, mysterious, and slightly subversive, Pleasure People is both difficult to categorize and immediately recognizable due to Nick’s unusual guitar tuning, cerebral lyrical content, and the use of instruments as varied as cello, mandolin, banjo, banjolele , bass, and drums. Pleasure People can be labeled as Alternative / Folk music, though you’ll find elements of two-steppin’ Americana and Bluegrass interspersed with quiet musings on family shadows, skid-mounted love, and half-haunted houses, performed by as few as Nick Cantine on solo guitar up to a full six-piece band.
Gregg Hill
Gregg Hill began writing songs in seventh grade, but he never really thought of himself as a performer — until he moved to New Orleans. Inspired by the Big Easy and other artists who call it home, Hill embarked on yet another new chapter in a life that has contained many, honing his live-audience entertaining skills — while forging relationships with those artists. The singer, guitarist and pianist then recruited two of the city’s finest — bassist/vocalist Roland Guerin and drummer Doug Belotte — as the rhythm section for his latest album, Bayou St. John, released in September 2023.
Jonathan Jacky
Jonathan Jacky is a freelance musician, independent recording artist, producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist currently active in the sacred Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming. He has a background as a classically trained trumpeter, receiving his Bachelor’s of Music (BM) in performance from Wright State University (Dayton, OH) in 2017, and a Master’s of Music (MM) in performance from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) in 2019. Throughout his collegiate and professional career, Jonathan has played a variety of musical ensembles including wind symphony, orchestra, jazz band, trumpet choir, traditional-style brass band, New Orleans-style brass band, various small chamber wind ensembles, indie rock bands, and multiple collaborations with piano accompanists when performing solo trumpet works.
