Missoula Marathon Beer Run

Come shake your legs out Friday night with a relaxed 3-mile route hosted by Run Wild Missoula!

This legendary 3.1 mile social run around Missoula is free and will start and end at Caras Park Pavilion, in beautiful downtown Missoula, and will conclude with  a party in Caras Park with live entertainment and a free beer for all finishers over 21, compliments of Big Sky Brewing Company.  Extra beer and wine will also be available for purchase. Please feel free to converse with any of our specially clad Beer Run Guides along the course regarding questions about Missoula or the Missoula Marathon weekend.

Don’t be afraid to join us.  This is not a beer mile — you don’t have to “chug” a beer midway through.  It’s a nice, social run and walk where you can have a beer at the end, or not.  So, please come, join the party and meet some of your fellow runners and walkers in a more casual setting!

This  event is part of Missoula Marathon’s Big 3 Challenge – to sign up for the Challenge, just check the participation box on your registration form, and then finish the Beer Run on Friday, Missoula 5K on Saturday and the Missoula Marathon or Half Marathon on Sunday.  (Remember, you must still register for both the 5K and Marathon or Half Marathon to be included as a Big 3 Challenge participant.)
But, you do not need to be signed up for the Challenge to participate in Friday’s beer run – everyone is welcome!! Packet pick up and the Runner Expo will also be held during the beer run at Caras Park Pavilion on Friday evening from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

5K Corporate Challenge

The Missoula Marathon is excited to announce a way for Missoula-area businesses to help their employees achieve wellness in 2023! The 5K Corporate Challenge gives employees access to an easily attainable training program to complete the Tony Banovich 5K on Saturday, June 24, 2023.  This race is a great way to be a part of Marathon weekend!

Businesses that participate will receive a 6- to 8-week “Beginner 5K” training program, ensuring that any employee – whatever their current activity level – can train for and complete the Tony Banovich 5K.  In addition, participating businesses will be announced on race day and listed on the 5K Corporate Challenge webpage. As an additional benefit, Corporate Challenge participants receive early bird registration fees through May 31, 2023!

All participating businesses must sign up for a coupon code for their employees to register for the Corporate Challenge.  Businesses may choose to pay all, some or none of the race registration fee for their employees. There is no fee to register your business for the Corporate Challenge.  Please contact Trisha Drobeck to set up a coupon code and/or business billing option.

Missoula Kids Marathon

Race begins on the Clark Fork River Trail, in front of Boone and Crockett Club, in downtown Missoula.  Participants will finish at Caras Park Pavilion, adjacent to the Higgins Avenue Bridge.

The Missoula Marathon course is flat, fast, USATF certified, and a Boston Qualifier! The marathon course does have a hill at the halfway point, but what goes up must come down! The course is a point-to-point, beginning with a scenic route through the countryside and finishing in historic downtown Missoula. The marathon course is well marked with both cones and arrows on the road. You will notice every mile is marked on the road and with 8ft tall mile markers.

$105 – January 1, 2023 through March 15, 2023
$115 – March 16, 2023 through April 30, 2023
$125 – May 1, 2023 through June 18, 2023

The Missoula Half Marathon course is flat, fast, and USATF certified.
