From: MLK Day Poetry and Storytelling FestivalJoin us for an evening of inspiration and creativity at the MLK Day Poetry & Storytelling Festival, happening on January 14 at 6pm at the Civic Club of Harrisburg.
Immerse yourself in the power of words as local spoken word artists take the stage to share their voices and perspectives on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of equality and justice. Their performances will ignite your passion for change and remind us of the transformative power of the human spirit.
We’re also thrilled to announce the winners of our high school writing competition, where young minds captured the essence of Dr. King’s dream through their essays and poems on this year’s poignent topic: A Call for Peace: A Time to Break Silence. Their words will echo the enduring message of hope and unity that Dr. King championed. For more information about the high school writing competition, please click here.
This event is a celebration of community, creativity, and the ongoing fight for equality. Join us as we honor Dr. King’s legacy and uplift the voices of our community.
