The North Carolina Republican Party has issued the following statement regarding the successful veto override of SB 382:

"The NC House of Representatives has done the right thing for Western NC and overriden the shameful veto of SB 382. Great job and thank you for your hard work! This legislation will also balance state government, especially the State Board of Elections," said NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons.
