Newton Art Association Awards Show Reception

Newton Art Association will be displaying almost 60 works of art at the Newton Free Library. All forms of media will be on display in the gallery and throughout the main hall. With over 200 members, the NAA represents a broad range of talent from artists based in Newton and neighboring communities, containing both realist and abstract themes.

Memory Cafe with Guest Artist Howie Newman

Thursday, September 14 at 1pm

Join Howie Newman (acoustic guitar, vocals) for a musical memory café designed for senior citizens with Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory issues – and their families. Selections will include music from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Doris Day, the Beatles and Elvis Presley as well as show tunes, standards, patriotic songs and other well-known songs.
