On February 1, 2025, Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno released the following statement commemorating the start of Black History Month:

“This month and every month, the Nevada State Democratic Party is proud to celebrate Black history and the contributions made by countless Black Americans in Nevada and throughout this country. Black voters, organizers, and communities across this state have been critical voices in the Democratic Party for decades, and we’re doing the work to ensure that they have a spot at the decision-making table in our state party and at all levels of government. While we’ve made so much progress thanks to Democratic leadership, we know that there is much more work to be done and so much at stake for our futures.”
