Adele C. Kozak, age 91 of Huntington, beloved wife of the late Edward H. Kozak, Sr. died peacefully on September 12, 2025 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Born in New York City on August 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette Haiducik Wengren. Mrs. Kozak resided in Huntington for 57 years and was a faithful member of St. Lawrence Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for the former Peter Hebert Jewelers of Milford for many years, until the time of her retirement in 1999. An avid golfer, Mrs. Kozak was a longtime member of the Brownson Country Club of Huntington and was an original member of the Huntington Fire and Rescue Co.3, Ladies Auxiliary. She will be long remembered for her inspiring Catholic faith, her epic holiday gatherings and for her unending love for her family.

She is survived by her devoted children, Dorothy Bowler, and her husband, Edmund of Massachusetts, Carol Navarro of Milford, Mary Ann O'Connor and her husband, Michael of Riverside, and Edward H. Kozak, Jr. and his wife, Sharna, of Shelton; 10 cherished grandchildren, Carolynn Navarro (Patrick), Denise Cuttler, (Zack), Stephanie Bowler, Julie Bowler, Christine Ash, Edmund Bowler (Sara), Michael O'Connor (Kelsey), Patrick O'Connor (Lauren), William O'Connor (Christy) and Audrey Kozak, and 8 cherished great-grandchildren, Patrick, Ava, Seamus, Charlotte, Emma, Layla, Lilly, and Payton. In addition to her spouse of 31 years, she was predeceased by an infant sister, Dorothy Wengren and sister, Mary Lou Lindsay.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, Huntington. Interment will follow in Huntington Lawn Cemetery, Huntington.
