Adonis Tyreek Bligen, age 27 of Ansonia, died tragically on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born on January 26, 1998 in the Bronx, NY, he was the beloved son of Wanda Torres Meyers of Ansonia. Adonis was raised in Bridgeport and excelled in athletics at an early age, playing football for the Bridgeport Chargers. A 2015 graduate of Platt Technical High School of Milford, Adonis wore #43 for the Platt Tech Panthers and was the varsity team captain for three years. Equally skilled in basketball, he earned the nickname “sniper” because he was the best shooter on the Platt Tech Team. Music was paramount in his life and he aspired to become a successful Rap Artist. His NVOP family will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved him. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Alyssa Bligen of Ansonia, Austin Meyers of Ansonia, and Andrew Meyers of Ansonia; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends…including, an uncle, Bobby and Chantel Meyers of MD; aunts, Mayra (Angel) Delgado of Stratford, Ebony White and Diane Russell, both of MD; a niece, Jonalis Faith Eggleston of Ansonia; cousins, Thalia & Isaiah Delgado of Stratford; his beloved companion, Anastasia Rosario of Bridgeport, his loyal friends, best man, Gaylord “June” Salthers, Jr. of New Haven, Tyson ”Tas” Soulette of Bridgeport and his parents, Sharrie & Damian Bullock of West Haven, William “Gkno” Nieves of GA, Josue “Sway” Aponte of Bridgeport and countless others. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Miguel Torres and Elizabeth Bordonada.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the St. Matthew Unison Free Will Baptist Church, 400 Dixwell Avenue, New Haven, CT. Funeral services will directly follow at 6:00 PM. Interment will be private. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia is in care of arrangements.
