The 45th annual Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon Classic Run will start at 7:50 a.m. on Saturday, May 27. This challenging, Ohio Valley course is well known for its changes in elevation. The Half Marathon Run will have prize categories (for male and female) for the Open division. Race towels, bottled water and fresh fruit will be available to participants. Participants will receive one food voucher. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a shirt. The race committee has determined that official race medals will be given to each finisher of the 45th annual Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon Classic Run. The medals will be handed out as runners cross the finish line.

Tough as Nails Urban Challenge offers athletes a chance to explore the hidden parts of downtown Wheeling. The 6 mile run course winds its way up, down and through the city streets of Wheeling, WV. This event will take place on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
Across more than six miles of body-breaking urban terrain you will traverse abandon cars, scale flood walls, climb your way over obstacles and claw your way up impossible inclines, all on your way to a triumphant finish! After working to destroy your body, stick around for the after party that includes food, drinks and live music.
5K Twin Pops Run & Walk For Health
5K Twin Pops Run/Walk For Health presented by Ziegenfelder

Walk @ 7:30 a.m. / Run @ 8:00 a.m. The 5K Twin Pops Run and 5K Twin Pops Walk For Health presented by Ziegenfelder prizes will be given in the Open division. Race towels, bottled water and fresh fruit will be available to participants. Participants will receive one food voucher, and pre-registered participants are guaranteed a shirt. Also, the Race Committee has determined that all 5K participants will receive a race medal.
The Ultra Urban Challenge
The Ultra Urban Challenge will test the endurance of the most elite athletes. After completion of the Ogden Half, the Heritage Bike Tour and the Tough as Nails, the participants will be awarded an Ultra Urban Challenge tee shirt.

This year's cycling festivities will begin at 7 a.m. at Heritage Port in Wheeling—1201 Water Street. The tour will kick off at 7:30 a.m. with the 100km riders, followed by the 50km route at 8:00am and our 15km ride at 9 a.m.

Sponsored by: Ziegenfelder 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27. On Water Street, near Heritage Port. 4 & 5-year-olds race first, followed by 3 & under. Pre-registration before May 9, 2023. $10 entry fee includes a t-shirt. Registration and packet pick up is 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. All entrants will receive finish award ribbon.
Ogden Fun Run presented by Ziegenfelder
At 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27, the Fun Run will make its way through downtown Wheeling. Also a non-competitive event, the Fun Run is for children 12 and under. No prizes are awarded and the $15 entry fee includes a race T-shirt. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt. Parents are encouraged to run with their children at no cost or pay $15 and also receive a T-shirt. Sizes and quantities of T-shirts are limited at the event. The course is a clockwise loop that begins by heading east on 14th Street. Runners will turn left on Chapline Street and head north to 11th Street, where they will turn right and head east to Eoff Street. They will turn right again and head south to 16th Street, turn right onto Chapline Street and run north to 14th Street, where they will turn left and run back to the end of the race at the half marathon start/finish line.
Wheeling Heritage Trail Bicycle Tour

The Ohio Valley Trail Partners presents the 16th annual tour of the Wheeling Heritage Trail on Sunday, May 28th. This year’s cycling festivities will begin at 7 a.m. at Heritage Port in Wheeling—1201 Water Street. The tour will kick off at 7:30 a.m. with the 100km riders, followed by the 50km route at 8:00am and our 15km ride at 9 a.m.
The 100km (62 miles) ride will leave the Heritage trail for a hilly loop on country roads with a stop at Bethany College. It is a challenging ride with great SAG support. Snack and water stops will keep riders hydrated on both the 50km and 100km rides. Every participant is required to wear a helmet. Entrants under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. We ride rain or shine! All riders will enjoy a post ride lunch (included with registration cost) with live entertainment as the Tough As Nails Event will begin at 12 noon on Sunday.
