Garden Party at the Will Family Center

The weather's gotten nice, we're past our freezes, and now it is time to get our hands in the dirt!

The ACHS will be holding a volunteer gardening party to freshen up the grounds around the Octagon building and the Will Family Preservation Center, and then will be meeting up for some no-host refreshments nearby after we finish.

There is a poll below for some dates, please respond below and we will announce the winning date. The announcement will go out on June 10th.

Aurora Colony Living History Day

The Aurora Colony Village is being opened back up this summer on July 13th for a living history day. Craft and history will be alive and well for visitors to see, with blacksmiths, spinners and weavers coming to live and work in the historic buildings at the Aurora Colony Museum. We would be delighted to see more, and are now booking demonstration spaces at 503-678-5754, and at [email protected].

If you've got a craft, a skill, an instrument, a good book, an interest in talking to visitors in historic attire, or anything in between we're excited to see you!

Greetings! Welcome to the Museum

The Aurora Colony Museum is looking to expand its open hours and days in the week, and we are looking for interested, experienced or fresh new volunteers for the front desk. Flexible availability and scheduling, and getting involved with the museum's daily activity.

Hours will be 10:30am - 4:15 pm or a split shift therein.
