Closed for Columbus Day
The library will be closed Monday October 9th in observance of Columbus Day!
Career Outreach Day
The library has partnered with the Oneonta Career Center to bring a Career Outreach Day to our lobby. Visit anytime between 11am and 4pm on Thursday, October 19th to chat with our Career Center representative about anything relating to job search or professional development!
Teen Advisory Board Members Needed
The Teen Advisory Board is currently looking for members for the 2023-2024 term. A Teen Advisory Board, or TAB, is an organization for teens run by teens. It allows them the power to create and plan events and the opportunity to pick out new books for the library's YA selection. It offers the chance to learn new skills and earn volunteer hours. If you or someone you know is interested in joining the TAB, please fill out an application and either email it to [email protected], or submit it at the library.
Book Club
Did you know we have an adult book club where we read monthly picks and have discussions? Ask the front desk for your copy of the next book club read! New members are always welcome :)

Craft Kits
We offer free craft kits for all ages to take home! Check our yellow cart to see what's available.

KNIT KNOTS - KNIT & CROCHET GROUP
Knit Knots teaches anyone who wants to learn how to knit, crochet, or use other needlecraft to create something all your own! All ages welcome.
The group meets every Tuesday from 10am - 2pm in the library board room. Just ask the front desk where to go!

The Oneonta Public Library is resuming English as a Second Language Classes every Thursday from 4pm – 5pm. Join us in the Conference Room for classes on how to speak English more fluently.

Join Us for some Spooky Stitching Fun!
Kids ages 10 years and up can create your very own unique Halloween critter by sewing together different stuffed animal parts, while also learning basic sewing skills in a fun and imaginative way. Take home your one-of-a-kind Franken Animal to haunt your house this Halloween!
This program is for ages 10 and up, your child must be able to safely handle a sewing needle.
