In preparation for National Novel Writing Month, NaNOrlando will help writers workshop their plots, characters, world building, and more. Note: This is not a lecture, but a collaborative workshop.
Virtual: How To Use Notion As A Writer
Tuesday, October 3, 7 p.m.
Notion is a productivity and note-taking app many writers have been using to plan and manage their projects. Author, screenwriter and professor Jennie Jarvis will discuss how to use Notion for writers.
Thursday, October 5, 7 p.m.
Voice is so important in fiction, but what exactly does it mean? Literary Agent Keir Alekseii will discuss voice and how to develop your writing skills around crafting a great voice.
Sunday, October 8, 4 p.m.
Join your fellow writers for critique, discussion and camaraderie. Writers of all genres and experience are welcome.
If you have a piece (less than 1,200 words, sent as a Word document) to be critiqued, please email it to Sarah no later than October 4. Remember: In order to be eligible for critique, you must have attended at least one Writer's Group meeting in the past.
This will be an online meeting via Zoom; please register and ensure your email is correct.

Historian, professor and author Dr. Luis Martínez-Fernández will present Cuba's history as illustrated by 25 artifacts. Dr. Martínez-Fernández is the author of many books, including Revolutionary Cuba.
