Reflective Backpacks for J-1 Students
Dear Orleans Chamber Members,
We are gearing up to fill and deliver the free J-1 reflective backpacks with bike lights and other items to J-1 employers again this year. Last year, we delivered 1,763 backpacks to J-1 employers. This year, we will have 2,000. Please let us know how many you will be needing this year. Also, if there are any special instructions for delivery, such as a specific time, day, location, or person to contact before delivery, please include this information as well. Some of you may have heard that Pastor Matt is going to have surgery soon to remove the cancer that has returned, but we still plan on delivering the backpacks.
We are also looking for items to be donated for the backpacks. Items that have been put in the backpacks in past years have included water bottles, small tire gauges, post cards, small Cape Cod items, pens, pencils, note pads, snack foods that do not melt, small hand sanitizer bottles, playing cards, small flash lights, small inflatable beach balls, mugs, gift cards, candy that does not melt, and travel-sized toothpastes, toothbrushes, and soap. If you would like to donate items for the backpacks, please let us know when the best time would be to pick them up. We will supply you with a donation letter for your tax records.
Thank-you for helping to keep J-1 students safe! And thank-you in advance for any donated items!
Blessings to you and your business,
Revs. Matt and Catherine Boyle
