The National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB) has recognized Pinal County's Workforce Development Board with the prestigious Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Trailblazer Award for its continual assessment, alignment, and advancement of core workforce development services, which has maximized the community impact of the WDB's work, producing entirely new training, recruiting, and career opportunities for workers and employers in Pinal County.
Pinal County's Workforce Development Board was selected out of a large pool of nominations for the WIOA Trailblazer Award, which recognizes outstanding and locally impactful efforts to adopt the changes envisioned in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. The Workforce Development Board will accept the award at the 2023 NAWB Forum, an
annual convening of workforce stakeholders to be held March 25-28th in Washington, D.C. Click here to read more.

City of Coolidge Attaway Road Closure Starting 3/6
Beginning Monday, March 6, to Sunday, April 9, Attaway Road will be closed from SR 287 to 1/2 mile north for road construction. Traffic detours through the Town of Florence, please plan travel time accordingly.

PCSO Open House and Career Expo Next Week
in San Tan Valley
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is holding Open House and Career Expo day.
Join us on 3/11/23, from 9 am- 1 pm at our San Tan Valley substation at 31505 N. Schnepf Road.
Learn about what we do, see and touch actual police vehicles, learn about available careers, and tour our facility.
This event is free and family-friendly. Those interested in a career with PCSO will also have a chance to learn more about our agency and speak with recruiters.

Have you ever wondered how the criminal justice system works or how a case comes before a judge? Then this is a great learning opportunity for you! The PCAO Citizens Academy is designed to give you a behind-the-scenes look at a case, from a suspect’s initial arrest and booking into Pinal County Detention Center to their sentencing or acquittal.
