TIMONIUM, Md. (May 16, 2025) In response to the flash flooding in Western Maryland that led Gov Wes Moore to declare a state of emergency, Planet Fitness is opening its doors to the community.

Through May 30, anyone in need of complimentary bottled water, HydroMassages, hot showers, Wi-Fi and workouts is welcome at its Cumberland club (1050 Industrial Blvd., Cumberland, MD 21502). 

During this timeframe, the Club also is working with the Frostburg Police Department to collect cleaning products, toiletries, laundry supplies and clothing for those who have been affected by the flooding. Requested items are as follows: men’s, women’s and children’s clothing (all sizes), bath towels, washcloths, laundry detergent, laundry baskets, Lysol Spray, trash bags, mops, buckets, Clorox wipes, paper towels, brooms, toilet paper, and travel size shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, soap and deodorant.

Planet Fitness is committed to helping the communities it serves, including offering services to those displaced because of the Western Maryland flooding. The Cumberland club is open and staffed 24/7.
