From: Plymouth Center for the ArtsMessage from the Executive Director
Thank you for the warm welcome as I take on this new challenge as the PCA's first Executive Director. I started on March 1, and I am overwhelmed by the kind words and support I've received. As I begin to learn the ropes and learn more about everything we offer, I am even more certain that I made the right decision to join this wonderful team.
Everyone here at the Center is talented, committed and hard working. From the artists and board of directors to the over 100 volunteers and teachers. I've only just begun to dive into the numerous ways the Center serves our community, and it is important that I hear from you if you have ideas or suggestions. I am in my office at the Center most weekdays from 9-5, so if you have something you would like to share with me, my email is [email protected] or stop in and say hello!
I'm very excited to be starting this journey and thrilled that you will be part of it. I truly look forward to getting to know you and working with you to make Plymouth THE place for the arts.

Featured Faculty
Christine Yorty, PCA Faculty
Class: Printmaking
Next Class begins April 14th
Christine Yorty is a new member of the PCA Faculty as of January 2025. She works in Printmaking, utilizing a range of materials in her process that reflects her varied artistic background. Think paint applied with brush, brayer, or crinkled paper, or lifted with a Q-tip; as well as oil pastel, bubble wrap, leaves, stencils, mesh fabric, lace doilies, and beads for texture. Can you guess what was used in the examples shown here?
Printmaking with Christine is recommended for people who like to experiment. The medium allows you to work very quickly, very freely. It’s the spontaneity of it that appeals to her students most.
Print examples: Daffodils & Head of the Meadow (Beach).
