KINGSVILLE, MO – This fall, Powell Gardens, Kansas City’s botanical garden, partners with Quixotic to bring Dark Forest, a unique and immersive outdoor experience to Powell Gardens. Now in its third year, this evening-only event is open October 13-15, 20-22, and 26-29 (7-11 p.m.). Visitors will travel on foot along a 1-mile mulched trail through Powell Gardens’ woods.

Dark Forest welcomes a new chill in the air, the eerie feel of the woods at night, and the spectacular transformation of our trail at Powell Gardens.”

The Dark Forest path, forged through a magical and mysterious wooded landscape, is brimming with captivating performances, hypnotic music, and creative technology brought together by Quixotic.

New in 2023, VIP ticket holders are invited to a private bar in the middle of Mystic Lake. An updated poisonous plant display will be on view in Garden Galleries. The Mystic Faire entertains with oddities and curiosities near the Missouri Barn and Silo. Sip signature cocktails or a hot beverage and stock up on lighted gear from the Cabinet of Coffee & Curiosities before embarking on your journey through the woods.

Dark Forest is best suited for a PG-13 audience. This signature event has limited tickets available and is only open October 13-15, 20-22, and 26-29, 2023. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the Dark Forest experience taking place 7-11 p.m.
