6:00pm: Lighting of the Castle (if no ice we will light our handmade castle)

6:30pm: Passing of the Crowns from 2022 King and Queen to the 2023 King and Queen

5:00pm – 8:00pm: Food Truck, Best of Buffalo by Byron

DJ Carmello will MC the event.

Saturday, February 18, 2023

9:00am: Vendors and food trucks will set up
Warming fires will be located around the park with a bonfire by the lake all weekend.  

10:00am: Onsite registration begins for the Polar Plunge

10:00am, and throughout the day: Wood carving demonstrations and raffle by Vince the Tree Guy

11:00am: Snowmobile rides, weather permitting provided by the Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club, with safety equipment provided.

11:30am: Cold water rescue demonstration behind the Carlson Center.

12:00pm: Polar Plunge sponsored by Family Health Medical Services.

1:00pm – 4:00pm: Snowmobile rides on the Field at Lakeside Park.

Carriage Rides will be happening Saturday and Sunday

2:30pm: Snowball distance throwing contest

2:30pm: Snow sculpture building contest

3:30pm: Pet Parade with prizes. Meet outside at the pavilion end of the Carlson Center to register pets (leased or caged) by 3:00, and all pets will receive a prize!

3:00pm - 5:00pm: The Chili Cook off Runs with details below:
-Bring at least 1 crockpot size of chili (6-7 quarts), this amount is requested in place of a registration fee.
-Your chili will be transferred to a container to be used with sternos as too many crockpots knock out the electric service. Please have your crock/chili labeled with your name and number.
-Take your chili to the judges’ table in the CHILI COOK-OFF TENT by 2:30 pm. 4: Feel free to bring any promotional materials, printed recipes, or decorations for your area. 5: Tell everyone you know to come out to the event, to taste the chili, and to vote! Tables, electric, napkins, tasting cups, and spoons will be provided.
-Send your completed registration form to the Mayville-Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce by emailing to [email protected] no later than February 11, 2023. Day-of registrations will be accepted until 1:00pm: on Saturday.

The Beer and Wine Tent will feature our iconic ice bar, weather permitting, and live music

5:00pm - 8:00pm: Live music by the band, Interstate Daydream. The beer and wine tent will open on Saturday and will be open throughout the weekend.

7:00pm: Flare Parade, weather permitting.

8:00pm: Fireworks

-The Children’s area has been relocated to the enclosed green pavilion located to the right of the playground. The building will be heated and feature some yard games, face painting, a festival wide scavenger hunt, and more!
-Food trucks and vendors
-Warming fires
-A kid’s sledding hill will be located between the Carlson Center and the playground with some sleds provided, and feel free to bring your own.

10:00am – 11:00am: 5K Run $15 fee

8:30am: Volleyball Tournament. We have Partnered with a local charity, The Glass Half Full, for the First Annual Mayville Winter Festival Spike Fest! This is a solo, buddy or bring your own team tournament.

-The Children’s area has been relocated to the enclosed green pavilion located to the right of the playground. The building will be heated and feature some yard games, face painting, a festival wide scavenger hunt, and more!
-Food trucks and vendors
-Warming fires
-A kid’s sledding hill will be located between the Carlson Center and the playground with some sleds provided, and feel free to bring your own.
