Prevent Child Abuse Iowa (PCA Iowa) is preparing to celebrate a historic milestone—50 years of happier, safer childhoods for Iowa’s children. Since its founding in 1975, PCA Iowa has been dedicated to preventing child abuse and advocating for the safety and well-being of children across the state. The organization’s dedication to providing essential resources, advocacy, and programming for Iowa’s families and communities will continue into the future.

A 50^th anniversary celebration in June will bring together families, community members, special guests, and a few superheroes to highlight the importance of prevention. The event will take place at The Reiman Gardens and feature live music, family-friendly activities, and opportunities for community connection. 

"For half a century, PCA Iowa has been focused on prevention and supporting communities across the state. As we celebrate this milestone, we are thrilled to honor the supporters, volunteers, and community members who have helped make our prevention resources a vital part of Iowa’s future. This celebration marks our history and showcases the powerful impact of prevention. Together, we will continue pursuing our vision toward a world free of child abuse," said Sharon Miller, Executive Director.
