We hope you are well as we approach 2023.

The Compact is thrilled to open up applications for the dune shack residencies for 2023. Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for this vital experience and national resource - tranquility in a chaotic world.

We are pleased to offer residencies for artists and writers and community residencies to the general public.

There are two artist and two writer residencies in Fowler and C-Scape Dune Shacks in 2023. The top recipients of the Dune Shack Artist residency include three funded weeks in the C-Scape Dune Shack and a $500 fellowship. Artist residents are selected by a jury process. Writers are chosen by lottery.

Community Residencies are available April through November for the general public. Community residencies are open to all and are selected by lottery.

This year we have reserved a week for a Native American and added the opportunity to voluntarily donate an Honor Tax to the Native Land Conservancy, a tangible way of honoring the sovereignty of the Wampanoag Nation and all Native Lands.
