Afro Puerto Rican Martial Arts Workshop

Come and learn the authentic African Caribbean Diaspora martial arts of Puerto Rico and Cuba.
Gran Maestro Miguel Quijano is a keeper of the traditions of cocobale/kokobale, calinda and el juego de mani.
Stick, machete, and unarmed combat – traditions brought from Africa and forged in the Caribbean for resistance and survival. Sometimes set to drum and dance.
Gran Maestro has taught all over the world for several decades and has 55 years in these traditions. Don’t miss this opportunity!
Donations are welcome from non-students of the cultural center. Current students will be prioritized in the workshop experience.
