VIRGINIA – This week the intensifying GOP Governor slugfest continued as Winsome Earle-Sears, Dave LaRock, and Amanda Chase race to the right taking extreme positions and tearing each other down all while leaving Virginians behind.
SCHOOL BUS CROSSING
Schoolhouse LaRock: On Monday, a Virginia teacher and elected leaders slammed Winsome Earle-Sears, Dave LaRock, and Amanda Chase for their extreme agendas to defund public schools and their inaction following Donald Trump’s recent executive order dismantling the U.S. Department of Education. The three candidates owe Virginians answers about why they support Trump's attacks on public education even though it will mean larger class sizes, less after school and literacy programs, and more students falling behind

Sears Stands in Way of Reproductive Rights (again): After Winsome Earle-Sears “couldn’t resist” voting against legislation that would guarantee access to birth control and contraception for Virginia women, Glenn Youngkin gutted the bill. The vote is the latest reminder of Sears’ extreme record on reproductive rights.
HIT AND RUN
Debate tonite Debate tonight queen?? Debate tonite : During an interview with former Trump Co-Chair John Fredericks, Amanda Chase eagerly agreed to debate Winsome Earle-Sears after Fredericks again requested the GOP primary field debate. Fredericks previously said “[Sears] should debate them” in an interview on Fox 5.
Eye for an Eye: During an interview with Fox 5, LaRock said he “came to the conclusion with many other people” that Sears is “unelectable,” reminding Sears of her few fans. It was fair game for LaRock to go after Sears, as earlier in the week she called him “a person of no character,” but electability tends to be more important in politics.
THE FINISH LINE
Bottom line: No matter who comes in first in the race to the right or how much the GOP candidates fight each other, they all agree on the same radical agenda backing ongoing attacks on Virginia jobs and workers, defunding public schools, and ripping away reproductive rights.
