Live Performance By:

Funkrust Brass Band, a 20-piece post-apocalyptic disco-punk brass band playing all original music with megaphone vocals, heavy tuba bass lines, thundering percussion and searing brass melodies. Their explosive live performances feature full band choreography, signature wasteland/glam uniforms and LED lighting effects.

DJ Mr. Realistic:

DJ Mr. Realistic and Real Art Ways have a longstanding relationship! He has been our house DJ for CCH for many years, and is the owner of My House Radio, a multicultural, award-winning internet broadcast radio station focusing on all genres of house music.

Real Art Award Recipient Ying Ye

Ying Ye is an interdisciplinary artist who incorporates her family’s tradition of Chinese cooking into her work. She is concerned with cultural identity and how themes of place, home, and diaspora can cultivate form. Ye’s work addresses the “burden that younger generations of Asians and Asian Americans [experience] in American culture.”

Connecticut Summer at the Museum!

Children under the age of 18 and one accompanying adult receive free admission to our cinema and galleries! Through Monday, 9/4.

Real Art Ways was recently awarded a grant from Connecticut Humanities to support our participation in the CT Summer at the Museum initiative!

Funding for the initiative is provided by the CT General Assembly, with the support of Connecticut Humanities and the Department of Economic and Community Development, Office of the Arts, which also receives support from the federal ARPA.

We are only days away from the deadline for our open call for the 2023
Real Art Awards!

If you are an emerging artist, know an emerging artist, or want to learn more information, please visit our website below! Open to artists living in New England, New York, and New Jersey!

In addition to a $2,500 prize, six artists will receive a solo exhibit at Real Art Ways, an exhibition publication with essay, curatorial assistance, and the opportunity for an artist talk. Submissions are open through Monday, 7/24!
