From: River Blast FestivalThe National Civil War Naval Museum Will Host Its Annual River Blast Festival. This Will Be a Family Friendly Event Complete With Live Music, Family Activities, Games, Cannon Firings, and Living History Interpretations. This Educational Event Takes Place on the Grounds of Port Columbus on Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th . Vendors Will Be on Hand Offering Food, Drink and Merchandise, and Guests Can Also Tour the Museum.
Activities Will Not Only Highlight the Impact of This Defining Time in Our Nation’s History, but They Will Also Provide a Fun Outlet to Learn & Play. Face Painting, Magic Shows, Cutlass Drills, and Crafts Await Our Tiniest Guests Throughout the Weekend. A Few Fabulous Musicians Are Slated to Provide the Weekend’s Soundtrack. This Event is Free and Open to the Public as a Part of the Museum’s Community Outreach and Efforts to Provide Access to the Stories You’ll Hear Nowhere Else. There is Something for Everyone in the Family to Enjoy. This Event is Made Possible by Generous Support From the Columbus Cultural Arts Alliance. The Activities at This Event Will Not Only Shed Light on the Profound Impact of This Pivotal Period in American History, but They Will Also Offer a Delightful and Engaging Environment for Learning and Entertainment. Specifically Designed for Our Young Visitors, We Will Have Face Painting, Captivating Magic Shows, Exciting Cutlass Drills, and a Variety of Hands-on Crafts to Spark Their Creativity and Imagination. Moreover, the Weekend Will Be Filled With the Beautiful Melodies of Talented Musicians, Creating a Lively and Enjoyable Atmosphere for All.
