Government and Politics

North Carolina’s former Governor, Roy Cooper, is “teaching” a class at Harvard starting tomorrow while making Chuck Schumer and out of touch Washington Democrats beg him to run for U.S. Senate.
Spending time at Harvard is certainly a choice. If you’re Cooper, though, maybe it’s better than getting questioned about why families in Eastern North Carolina never had their homes rebuilt during your entire tenure as Governor? Or answering questions about your Hurricane Helene response?
Apparently, cashing in after a 40-year career in government means accepting a paycheck from a university rife with antisemitic activity.
This isn’t who North Carolinians want to be their U.S. Senator.
“When North Carolinians needed Roy Cooper to step up and defend them, he failed. He failed to stop violent crime and mobs from burning cities in 2020. He failed women in our state allowing our rape kit backlog to be the largest in the nation. And, he failed families across our state who wanted their homes rebuilt after natural disasters. Now, Cooper is jetting off to Massachusetts for a paycheck to rebrand his failures as ‘leadership.’ Good riddance because North Carolina is done letting Roy Cooper fail our state,” said NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer.
