Native plant garden coming to you late spring 2024.

Learn more about our upcoming Nature Trail, a free outdoor exhibit that will feature unique native plant species from Southern California.

Currently under construction, the garden’s groundbreaking took place on January 26 with special guests Mayor Todd Gloria, Betty Peabody, and Barona Chairman Raymond Welch, among others.

Binational Conservation Efforts Underway! 

February’s featured project: Binational conservation of light-footed Ridgway’s rail.

Researchers and volunteers from The Nat, Terra Peninsular A.C., and Pro Esteros A.C., have been working across the U.S.-Mexico border to protect the light-footed Ridgway’s rail from urban development, habitat loss, sea-level rise, and more. 

Check out the ongoing efforts to help this umbrella species bounce back!
