As always, members of The Nat and Explorer pass holders enjoy free general admission.

I've been waiting for this!

We Made a Turtle-y Cool Discovery
Solving a 40-million-year-old sea turtle mystery.

You never know what you might find in The Nat's research collections.
Sometimes it's the first record of an animal in a certain location. Sometimes it's a potential new species. Sometimes it's a discovery that fills a historical gap. For Nat paleontology researcher Ashley Poust and his coauthors on a newly published paper—it was all three.

We have two Nat Talks in June!

Yup, you read that right—we have TWO exciting Nat Talks for you this June.

Join us on June 13 at 7 PM to hear from Tammah Watts about the power of healing in birding. She will share how spending time in nature, especially with birds, benefits our mental and physical health. After the talk, you can stop by the Museum store for a book sale and signing of her book, Keep Looking Up – The Powerful Healing of Birding.

On June 27 at 7 PM, in partnership with KPBS, we will host an exclusive pre-screening of Human Footprint, a brand-new, six-part documentary series that will air this summer on all PBS platforms. You will get to see one of the episodes before it airs and hear from the filmmakers at Day's Edge Productions and biologist Shane Campbell-Staton, Ph.D.

Your Legacy Can Help Prevent Extinction
Help plan for the future.

Nobody can live forever, but we can help plan for the future beyond ourselves. By leaving a legacy gift to The Nat you can help protect threatened and endangered species right here in your own backyard.

We promise that generations of condors, checkerspots, and kangaroo rats will thank you. Learn more about becoming a member of our Live Oaks Society, and click here to learn more about our conservation work.
