Get your Hands on Some Real Fossils
Join us for National Fossil Day on October 11.
Every day is Fossil Day at The Nat, but on October 11, everyone else gets almost as excited about dead things as we do!
Join us on National Fossil Day this Wednesday from 10 AM–1 PM to hang out with our Paleo team in front of our demo lab. They will have activities for all ages, including fossil-related crafts, fossil prep, and you might even get to glue some googley eyes on some old bones.
Don't forget, in October, Kids Go Free with paid adults!

Hear from Dr. Mikel Delgado as she shares how to give your pet cat an outlet for their natural predatory instincts through interactive indoor playtime. It's going to be a meow-some talk!
Planting Native at Home with Nan Sterman | Early November
Join us to learn from garden designer, author, botanist, and award-winning TV show host Nan Sterman. She will discuss how and why native plants make your garden more climate appropriate and sustainable and share timely tips and insights for success.
Tickets are $9 for members and $12 for non-members.
Did You Know...
Next week is National Estate Planning Awareness Week!
Here at The Nat, we’re pretty good at caring for the things we love for a really long time, so we understand just how important future planning is. By including the Museum in your estate plans, you can help support that care!
Learn more about legacy giving and how to become a member of the Live Oaks Society here or contact Eowyn Bates.
By the Way...
- Have you checked out the new season of Canyoneer hikes yet?
- Those giant webs you are spotting might be from an orb weaver.
- We're open late on Friday, October 20, for Nat at Night.
