E.O. 24-12: EXECUTIVE ORDER AMENDING E.O. 24-07 TO PROVIDE FUNDING, AS AUTHORIZED BY ARK. CODE ANN. § 12-75-114, FROM THE GOVERNOR’S DISASTER RESPONSE AND RECOVERY FUND
 
WHEREAS: On or about May 24, 2024, severe storms, flooding, and tornadoes occurred in Arkansas and continued to cause danger and hardships, which warrant this executive action;
 
WHEREAS: In Executive Order 24-07 (dated May 26, 2024), a state of emergency was declared in response to these storms; 
 
WHEREAS: Adverse circumstances have been brought to bear upon citizens and public properties within the State of Arkansas; and 
 
WHEREAS: Affected political subdivisions require supplemental assistance from the state to recover from these losses.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, I, SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS, acting under the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Arkansas, and pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. §§ 12-75-101, et seq., do hereby amend E.O. 24-07 (dated May 26, 2024) and authorize $750,000.00 to be obligated from the Governor’s Disaster Response and Recovery Fund, which shall be used at the discretion of the Director of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to defray both program and administrative costs.
