From: Scarecrow Festival

Get ready to celebrate fall, pumpkins… and plenty of scarecrows!

Scarecrow Festival is a weekend of fall family fun including scarecrow-making workshops, pumpkin painting, live musical entertainment and children’s activities. The event hours are 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on both days. Peddler’s Village shops will be open until 8 p.m. on Saturday. Admission and parking are free. Event is rain or shine.

While you’re enjoying the weekend, stroll around to see the Scarecrows in the Village, showcasing creative and colorful scarecrows designed by members of the public. The scarecrows are on outdoor display from Monday, September 11 through Sunday, October 29. The public is invited to vote for the winners for the first three weeks of the contest. Vote through our mobile app or by paper ballots (available in all shops, Visitor & Event Center, **** ‘n Bull Restaurant, Giggleberry Fair, and Buttonwood Grill).

Don’t forget to purchase your tickets to our popular Scarecrow-Making Workshops! Workshops will be held not only during the Scarecrow Festival weekend but also on Saturday, September 23 and Saturday, September 30.

Scarecrows in the Village
Celebrating 44 years of Scarecrows in the Village
An autumn tradition continues starting September 11! For six fun-filled weeks, over 100 scarecrows line the brick pathways of our autumn-tinted Village. Some are inspired by famous characters, some are humorous, some are scary – but all of them are carefully handmade by Philly-area residents and organizations. The display is free and on view every day through October 29. Guests are invited to vote on their favorite scarecrows and the creators of the winning scarecrows receive prizes.
