VIRGINIA – On March 19th, during a jobs focused press conference, Winsome Earle-Sears refused to acknowledge Donald Trump’s attacks on Virginia jobs that she’s repeatedly defended despite the devastating impacts on Virginians and the Commonwealth’s economy. 

After defending Trump’s attacks on Virginia workers, and saying that Virginians facing layoffs will “be all right,” Sears became unresponsive, declining to comment on breaking stories affecting Virginia’s economy and outright ignoring requests. 

“Whether she’s doubling down on her defense of Trump or refusing to even acknowledge the attacks on Virginia jobs outright, Sears has failed to stand up for Virginia’s workforce and economy. Virginians deserve a governor who will put Virginia’s working families ahead of the interests of Donald Trump, and Sears has again proved that she refuses to do that job, ” said DPVA Spokesperson Maggie Amjad.
