Slither on over to Thousand Hills State Park for some reptile programs

Did you know Missouri is home to 75 species and subspecies of reptiles: 17 different turtles, 11 different lizards and 47 different species and subspecies of snakes?

Head over to Thousand Hills State Park to learn more about these animals that may cause your heart to skip a beat – either from fear or, in some cases, even love. Learn why reptiles are important and which ones might be found in the park.

Weather permitting, the events will be held at Thousand Hills State Park, 20431 State Highway 157 in Kirksville, at the amphitheater in campground 1.
