Discover future parklands before they fully open to the public. Join us for "Park Preview Days" where you can explore future parks on self-guided hikes and learn about plans to permanently open these properties to the public. Free. Registration required.

Pitch in for a cleaner California coast

Join us for California Coastal Cleanup Day on Sept. 16 to help pick up litter and trash before the rains come and wash it out to the ocean. We'll be working at Doran Regional Park on Bodega Bay and also Maxwell Farms Regional Park in Sonoma Valley – because cleaner creeks mean cleaner coastlines! Free. Register in advance.

Can't make the event?

We can all do a small part to create a cleaner California coast by practicing Leave No Trace principles. We're part of a new effort to raise awareness about minimizing human impacts when visiting the beach. Learn more at CleanerCoast.org.

Soggy doggies at Spring Lake

Join the dog-friendly fun at the Spring Lake Water Bark! Bring up to three dogs for leash-free swimming on weekends: Sept. 17, 23-24, and Sept.30-Oct. 1. Your ticket purchase ($8-$15 per dog) supports over 60 dog-friendly parks, enhancing the Regional Parks system. You can also get a season's pass "dog tag" ($50) to celebrate the park's 50th anniversary and enjoy all Water Bark dates.
