“Enough is enough. Senator Nicole Mitchell now faces a second felony charge, further eroding the public’s trust in her ability to serve. This is not just a personal legal battle—it is a stain on the integrity of the Minnesota Senate.

From the moment she was first arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, it was clear that her position was untenable. Now, with additional charges emerging, her refusal to resign is nothing short of a disgrace.

Even Governor Walz has called for her to step down. If she won’t listen to him, she should at least listen to the people of Minnesota, who deserve better from their elected officials.

This is not a partisan issue-it is a matter of principle.

Both Republicans and Democrats should demand her immediate resignation. The Senate cannot function effectively under this cloud of scandal. It’s time for her to go, and for Minnesota to move forward.”
