Following Outside Looking In (1987), Home (1989), and Black and White (1991), Go Slow Down (1993) yielded "Closer To Free," which famously served as the theme song for the smash hit television series Party of Five.
With a sought-after discography, their music landed hundreds of television and film placements. Meanwhile, they transformed into a proven live phenomenon by supporting the likes of U2, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, The Pretenders, and David Bowie-in addition to gracing the bills of Farm Aid, Summerfest, and ACL. 7:00 pm: Houndmouth
Starts at $58
"This is a general admission, standing room only show. All chairs will be removed.
Houndmouth is an American alternative band from New Albany, Indiana led by Matt Myers (guitar, vocals). Known for their unique blend of alternative rock and blues influences, they have gained a reputation for their energetic live performances and soulful sound.
On their latest album Good For You, Houndmouth share a collection of songs set in places as far-flung as the Alamo and the Hudson River, each populated by a motley cast of characters: fairy-tale princesses and vampires, parking-lot lovers, and wanna-be beauty queens. The result is a lovingly gathered catalogue of those wild and fleeting moments that stay lodged in our hearts forever, taking on a dreamlike resonance as years go by.
In a departure from the shambolic spirit of past work like Little Neon Limelight (Houndmouth's 2015 breakout, featuring the platinum-selling "Sedona"), Good For You bears a hi-fi minimalism that beautifully illuminates its finespun storytelling.
For Houndmouth, the making of Good For You allowed for a major leap forward in their songwriting and sound while recalling the pure abandon of the band's early days when they formed in the summer of 2011.

This week's featured artist is the Amanda Hofer Trio. From the heart of the Yampa Valley emerges a powerful acoustic experience that defies expectations. Amanda Hofer, Darren Radach, and Eric Delaney have joined forces to create a dynamic trio that brings together their diverse musical backgrounds and shared passion for authentic live performance.
This powerhouse ensemble blends rock, funk, blues, and folk into a captivating acoustic sound that feels both familiar and refreshingly original. At the forefront stands Amanda Hofer, the "tiny powerhouse" whose vocals have drawn comparisons to legends like Etta James and Janis Joplin. Scene Magazine perfectly captured her essence: "Backed by an amazing band, tiny powerhouse Amanda Hofer came walking on the stage with vocal cords swinging for the fences."
On mandolin, vocals, and percussion, Darren Radach brings rhythmic complexity and melodic precision honed through his work with Ansel and the Brain Tattoos and The Matt Skinner Band. Completing the trio is Eric Delaney on guitar and vocals, whose soulful playing and technical prowess have been the foundation of projects like The Big Tasty and Eric Delaney's Taste Test.
Together, they create music that transcends the limitations of a three-piece acoustic setup. As Backstage Flash noted, Hofer's "power, raw explosive delivery and stage presence was and still is profoundly indescribable," and now supported by the intricate instrumentation of Radach and Delaney, the trio delivers performances that captivate audiences throughout the Yampa Valley and beyond.
Far from "traditional barroom fare," Hofer, Radach and Delaney offer sophisticated musicianship, soulful vocals, and an infectious energy that turns every venue into an intimate celebration of sound, story, and spirit.

For Jon Muq, a singer-songwriter born in Uganda and now living in Austin, Texas, music is part of a larger conversation he's having with the world and everybody in it. Drawing from African as well as western musical trends and traditions, he devises songs as small gifts, designed to settle into everyday life and provoke reflection and resilience. "These days the world is sad," he explains, "so I wanted to make happy songs. I wanted to write songs that connected with the listener in a very personal way. When someone listens to my music, it's not just about me and what I'm singing. It's about how they understand the songs individually. I think these songs can speak many languages, depending on what you want from them."
Muq's experiences as a child in Uganda and as a man in America give him a unique perspective on the world he's addressing. "I grew up in a very different life, where so many people pass through hard times just because they don't have much. Our biggest issue was food scarcity. Then I came to a different world, which gave me a picture of how to write a song that can find balance with everyone wherever they are, whether they have a lot or not much." With his May 31st debut album with producer Dan Auerbach and tours with Billy Joel, Norah Jones, Mavis Staples, Amythyst Kiah, Corinne Bailey Rae, and others, Muq is expanding the scope of his music to speak to more and more people.

7:00 pm: Dawes Duo
Starts at $69.
For the first time in almost a decade, brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith grace the cover of a Dawes record. It's just the two of them this time, and as such, Oh Brother marks a distinctive new chapter for the California rock band - one that is both introspective and accessible, all while maintaining their beloved sense of sincerity.
Oh Brother steers Dawes decidedly forward, honoring 15 years of Taylor and Griffin's musical relationship, as well as the next era of their band. Each of the nine songs began with just Taylor on guitar and vocals and Griffin on drums. They initially tracked each one live together, before adding in additional instrumentation and collaborating with touring guitarist Trevor Menear in the studio. Additionally, Oh Brother is the first record the brothers have co-produced, working alongside longtime friend Mike Viola.
At this point in the Goldsmith's career, Dawes has cemented itself as one of the most earnest, no-******** musical acts out there. They're a band that can move seamlessly between folk rock, piano ballads, and sprawling jams while maintaining both an immediately recognizable sound and a freedom from expectations. Even as the Goldsmith brothers navigates new chapters in their personal and professional lives, Oh Brother shows how they remain creative, ambitious, and inspired - what it means to be lifers in a band together.
