The City of Temple is accepting applications for the Hometown Hero Banner Program through Tuesday, September 5. This initiative provides the opportunity for the community to recognize and honor Temple residents and their immediate family members who are serving, have served, or have given their life in service of the United States Armed Forces.

Banners featuring the faces of Temple’s military Hometown Heroes will be displayed on light poles in Downtown Temple at the Santa Fe Plaza and along the Santa Fe Market Trail throughout the month of November.
 
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis by the city’s Communications & Marketing Department. Each banner is $75, and the program is accepting 40 banner applications.
