Downtown Dowagiac just got hotter!  Introducing a new event during our annual summer festival: A barbecue competition will feature an amatuer division and will be sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society.

This community celebration is a family-friendly event, featuring music and dance, children’s interactive entertainment, games and rides, and food trucks.  Families can browse summer sales at retail specialty shops, and the booths of artisans, community organizations and commercial vendors. Southwestern Michigan College's annual Steve's Run will start downtown Friday evening.
