From: Summerfest On The RioSummerFest on the Rio, the San Luis Valley’s way of kicking off summertime fun. This annual festival depicts extensive arts and craft talents, musical entertainment for the entire family, and a multitude of activities for the kids. Walk along the winding Rio Grande in the beautiful spacious Cole Park while contemplating something from a large variety of food and drink.
The festival takes place the first weekend in June each year. Everyone is ready to go Friday at 2:00 p.m. The food and beer garden gear up for the SummerFest’s signature concerts in the park from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:30 p.m.
Saturday proves to be a big hit with the families. Vendors are all set to go at 10:00 a.m. looking forward to the community interaction. Multiple musical genres are represented on stage at the north end of the park. Music starts at 11:00 a.m. and a final amazing act winds it down by 9:30 p.m.
